Monday 18th August 2008

Very good trip despite a strong wind. Loads of Mackerel. 1 big Tope caught by the Bride who's original trip was canceled on there honeymoon due to strong winds and a small bass caught by the groom returned. (8hour)
late trip, getting dark but loads of Mackerel along the coast even in the dark. We had to rescue some kids stranded on the island in the dark, There sailing boat had capsized and sank. They should not have been out at all.

Very good day, 5 Tope,5 Bass and loads of Mackerel, Flat calm as forecast. (can't believe they were correct) Nearly caught our first already Tagged Tope, Typically the b____y thing caught round the rudder and we lost it. (Friskney) A few beach boats from Skegness away today.

Saturday 16th August 2008

No Tope today but made up for it with some nice Sea Bass on the way home and loads of big Mackerel again (I think if they were not watching TV it would have helped). Another local boat fished along side us today and picked up a 35lb Tope and a bass at the wind farm (Holly). Boats every where today, It must be Summer at last. This was Thomas Olesen's third whole boat corporate booking in 2 weeks. I think he must like it.

A really nice warm,calm and fun day. 2 of my customers came all the way from Istanbul to catch some fish and luckily 1 of them caught a Tope. 2 Tope,1 Sea Bass and 2 hundred Mackerel. (Wind farm)

Thursday 14th August 2008

South East Woolpack. Very good, lots of Mackerel and 3 big Tope at 37lb,40lb and 45lb. The only other boats away were Catamarans again.
